Special Worship Services & Events
The following are special worship service or events that occur throughout the year:
Baptisms
Baptism is the sign and seal of union with Jesus Christ. Baptisms occur throughout the year as requested by individuals and families.
The Celebration of the Lord's Supper
The Lord's Supper is the sign and seal of eating and drinking in union with the crucified and risen Lord. All baptized Chrisitans as members of God's family are invited to receive the bread and the juice when we celebrate this holy meal. This celebration takes place several times during worship throughout the year.
Services of Healing and Wholeness
Around Christmas and Easter, we hold a service of healing and wholeness on a Sunday evening. This is a unique service where we confront God and each other with our struggles and pains, and we seek healing and restoration and peace. These are intimate services.
The next service of Healing and Wholeness will be Sunday, December 17th @ 6:30 p.m.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
On December 24th at 7 p.m. we will hold our annual Christmas Eve service. This service usually includes hymn singing, choral music, Bible reading, and a Christmas mediation by the pastor. It is always well attended by members and visiting family and friends.
Easter "Son-Rise" Service
On Easter morning, we hold a quiet, reflective worship service early in the morning. Following the service we join together and celebrate Easter by having breakfast together.
Community Services
There are community worship services throughout the year that are sponsored by the Lakeview Ministerium. They are inter-denominational and are held at local churches. There is a Thanksgiving service, a Good Friday service, and a community Christmas cantata. More details about these events will be posted on the community news page when it becomes available.
