THE LORD'S PRAYER
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your namee, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
CLOSING WORDS
Eternal God, our beginning and our end, be our starting point and our haven, and accompany us in this day's journey. Use our hands to do the work of your creation, and use our lives to bring others the new life you give this world in Jesus Christ, Redeemer of all. Amen.

An Order for Evening Prayer
CALL TO WORSHIP
Lord, your love is better than life itself. Our lips will recite your praise. We proclaim your love at daybreak and your faithfulness all through the night.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Lord God, the day has passed and the night has come. Into your hands I commit the work of this day and that which remains undone; the failures and the frustrations, the hopes and the desires. All these are yours even as I am yours. Where I have turned from you, forgive me and lead me home again. Where others have wronged me, strengthen me to forgive. Comfort and protect me in the night hours; fill me with your peace as I rest in you. Amen.
EVENING PSALM OF THE DAY
EVENING PRAYER
THE LORD'S PRAYER (see above for words to this prayer)
PRAYER AT THE CLOSE OF THE DAY
Lord, support us all the day long until the shadows lengthen and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over, and our work for the day is done. Then in your mercy, grant us a safe lodging, and a holy rest, and peace at last; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
